im thinking about getting a tank next year after finishing remodeling the house,but my question that im not sure about the marine x 90 or 50g aio from waterbox,idk if the aio is less maintenance or is the same thing?

I personally like a tank with a sump. Gives you more room to work with and more water volume which helps with stability.

AIOs are way simpler and cheaper to operate but you can’t beat the options that a sump gives you. I vote for a sump. Plus more water volume always helps.
thanks i will get sump,i was taking a brk this year but starting nex one i will get one again after replacing the house floor for a waterproofing one
I'd concur. The more water volume the better and a sump gives you a ton of room. I've had a 55g sump on a 60g tank and it was awesome. Had tons of room. Of course I managed to fill it up with all kinds of stuff but it was nice having that larger water volume for stability. Not so awesome when it came time to do water changes but that's the deal.
