I happen to go and check out my tank a few minutes after the lights kicked off and the moonlights kicked on .
I noticed my mandarins swimming around so I sat and watched ( is that bad / fish porn) my male swam around and flashed his fins and followed the female all over the tank. He would swim up beside her and they would glide up the water column . He would chase her and grab her tail and she would pull him around . I was a little worried at first but after he let go and swam off she would swim over to him . Really cool.
Funny thing is I was just thinking a couple days ago that she was a little piggy because her stomach was swollen.
Now I know :yes:
