Reef octopus neck extender.

I have been trying to decide what to do about my skimmer for the past few weeks. After plumbing the 30g frag tank into the system, I think the skimmer is undersized. I'm pretty certain that I am going to replace the OTP pump with the bubble blaster 1000. I was thinking about also adding a 2" neck extender.


Have any of y'all used the neck extender on the smaller octopus skimmers? What pump were you using?

Edit: Space is limited other wise I'd probably just buy a new skimmer all together.

I'm hoping that if I can put a better pump and give it a little more contact time that it can compensate for the additional water volume.

have you found anywhere to buy one?? I found a link to a article saying that coralvue was going to release them but I can't find anywhere that actually sells them. I'd like to try one on my nwb200.
