I no this is in the wrong spot but I wanted people to know about a trip in May to help conserve a Bahamas reef. The project is with a researcher who is scraping away mature algae and transplanting urchins. It seems that mature algae are toxic and the urchins can't handle them. But when the old is scraped away the urchins munch on the young algae and the corals have room to breath.

His data is showing significant improvement in treated areas.
