Does anyone know what the optimal height from top of water is for these lights?

The viparspectras are 14". I have 2 300 watt vipars about 13-14" from the surface. The compact vipar is a 165 watt..so it should be about the same depending on the lenses

I will add that on mine I run the blues at about 65% and white at about 5%. Don't know how the rbs stack up power wise but they are powerful..so be careful

Thank you! We’ve been using CURRENT USA lights for over a year and the anemones are doing great but the corals, of which I have very few, aren’t thriving. I can’t really afford high end lighting right now psi hoping these will be better

I started off at around 30% and 1% and worked up..that will still probably be more than the current usa puts out. You don't need expensive lighting...the encrusted frags were all small un encrusted frags 2-3 months ago
