For you owners of the reefkeeper system controllers, can the rkm.net be added to the reefkeeper lite? Can you pretty much add any of the reefkeeper stuff to the lite version? Oh and I am looking for reefkeeper temp probe and ph probe for the reefkeeper lite and any other reefkeeper stuff you might have. I posted it on the Wanted to Buy forum.

Wanted to buy is the place to post if you are looking for something. It is fine to discuss what items serve what function, compatibility and programming in this forum though. :-)

Hence why i wrote that i posted it on the wanted to buy forum... I only added that in there because this post is most likely to get more looks and point them towards my wanted to buy post.

Now back to my original questions, just mainly trying to see if you can add anything to the reefkeeper lite that the reefkeeper elite has.

Something to keep in mind, something I didn't pay much attention to when I bought mine, is the rkl supports 4 modules. I have 3 pc4's and the sl1 with temp and ph. So no room for net module.

I already have the reefkeeper lite + 2 pc4 boxes so I started looking into what i would need to add:

Started putting some numbers together:
ph probe - $47
temp probe - $32
float switches - $52
sl1 module (for temp and ph) - $77
net module - $92

This is $300 extra alone not to mention what you pay for the pc4's and base controller unit.

The reef angel gets all this for $219 + $109 for wireless internet access = $328. Seems to me to be a much better deal. Does anyone have the reef angel that can talk about it? Like does it matter if you go with the plus versus the regular one - looks like all you add is memory for the extra $50. Also, what about analog vs pwm signal, why would anyone not want the new digital signal versus the old analog signal version?

Yes you can add it .;) you'll need an Internet connection in close proximity as it isn't wireless

;)

To the above post. The reef angel is QUITE a bit more involved than the DA products... But a nice system.

Da is just more user friendly to most.

One thing I really like about Reef Angel is the wireless capability. Can't believe DA products haven't integrated that into their system?

Sort of. With the reef angel wizard you can do most functions with 0 code experience. But for advance users the sky us the limit.

I have the reef angel+. When I got it I didn't know how to code anything. Now I can read the gibberish.
