Refugium or Sump

Hey guys... just bought my first saltwater tank about a month ago. Its a 55g and currently using a 29g sump that we made. Not happy with it and the baffles came unglued, so Im looking for a good one to buy. I cant believe how expensive a little plastic box can be lol. Also is it really worth having a refugium?

a fuge act like a natural filter by housing macro algae like cheato. It also gives a place for pods to chill out.

the guy selling the 95g wave tank is also selling a sump. A fuge is a nice addition to a tank but is not necessary. Your best bet is to find a sump with a fuge in it.
