Me, personally, I like the idea of just making do with what you have without a lot of major changes. That's because I have gone through a ton</em> of different setups and components before settling on a combination I was happy with. The more I invested up front in what I thought</em> I wanted, the more money I was out when I changed my mind.

That could just be me, though
