Should I worry about hair algae and some cyano in my fuge? I have no critters down there (except pods), tried some trochus snails for a bit but they seemed to break down the chaeto into smaller pieces so it stopped clumping as well. I guess the issue is, should I let the fuge grow stuff that I don't want up north in my DT.
I'm using a sump with ~ 15 gal skimmer/fug/return pump set up. No UV. Lighting the fuge at night, growing mainly Ulva there and 5 mangroves. Had Chaeto with the Ulva but the Chaeto has been out-competed esp. after getting chopped up a bit.
My DT looks great, no major algae issues, etc (had some bubble but took care of that).

I would eradicate it while you still have it contained.
