regenerating purigen

i've been reading mixed statements about regenerating purigen, most people it is just fine, other people loosing livestock. i've already done both steps (i used a little more prime than recommended) but im a bit nervous about sticking it back in. anyone else have these reservations about reusing something soaked in bleach?

I use it all the time. I do get carried away on the prime just in case. Let it sit 12 hrs in rodi with prime. Dump water then rodi and prime again.

+1 two rounds of soaking in prime...no problems.

Used it for years...follow instructions and let it set and use prime and you will be fine. Never lost anything during that change out time.

I did go a little over board with the prime. I'm out of town today and tomorrow and left it in some rodi. I'll add some prime Friday when I get back.

Have never had issues after recharging mine.

I'm lazy, prefer certainty and only have a nano tank... so I throw away the 4-5 tablespoons of it every 4-5 weeks and replace with new. A $12-14 bottle of the stuff lasts me about a year...far less expensive than the replacement cost of any livestock/corals.
