Well...I am very grateful - no loss of life or flood. My GBTA made it into the front compartment of my HOB overflow, throw the syphon tube, and into the rear compartment. I would love any ideas as to how to safely remove it from the overflow, and return it to my DT. I did dry the cold spoon method with only limited success. Maybe need more cold spoons (as they warm-up while in the 78 degree water).

Thanks for reading!

Empty the return and allow it to hang until it starts to loosen it's grip or falls altogether. This method at times takes a few hours so make sure you prep the DT for O2 and temp.

Thank you. I was hoping that method was my "last resort" method. I was so close to having the foot release itself completely from the box with the cold spoon. We will see. Otherwise, I will drain the compartment. Thanks!
