Removing LR then returning to tank?

Help please. I have a large piece of LR that is covered in majanoes. Can I remove the rock, scrub it, and add back to tank without harm? Thinking of taking rock out and replacing with "new" LR. I have fish and coral in a 75 gallon tank

I would pull it and replace it with a dry piece.

Or a well cured new piece.

Let the bad piece with mojanos, sit and dry outside in the sun. Then wash it with water (pressure washer works wonders), and let it dry again, and then you can put it back into the tank at some point if you wish.
