Is it possible to repair outlets within a dj strip or is it better just to buy a new one? Two of the switches just stopped working and the outlets are dead.

I would bet you could but not certain. My guess is a little solder would fix you up if you can get the case apart. Oh and by the way, unplug it first. Hehehehehe

Thanks for the info. I guess I'll be opening it up this weekend.

:up: I say that now, but I'd prolly try to repair mine too, lol. I have 1 out that my old reefKeeper fried. Never really thought about opening it up to fix it. I'm sure it's pretty straight forward....not to mention you would most likely get better equipment for it anyways, lol.

They are so simple, its not even funny. Basically pull and replace anything bad...either's either a switch (less than $5) or a receptacle (also less than $5). I say go for it but also this brings up the case for having a backup unit.

I actually think it's the switches that have gone bad. Where would I get a couple of these? Radio Shack? I'll also be buying a new one and use this one as the backup. I figure once I drop around $5 per switch, I'm half way to buying a new one!

If you have to replace more than half of the switches or receptacles (4), you might as well buy a new one and save time and possible frustration. They are 20-30 online.
