Well I honestly wasn't even sure what pump I had, It was part of a total buyout I got when I first got in the club and names meant nothing to me. I had been wanting a back-up pump in case I had a failure and I already have my 120, 28 and DSB on the original pump, and it just wasn't pushing enough. I was pointed to the triton 5 as a good pump for my setup. Now that I know what I just pulled out of the sump I can make a comparison and I'm pretty impressed with the differences.

Mag 9.5
60W
950 GPH
3/4" outlet

Trition 5
60W
1350 GPH
1" outlet

Plus, the trition is smaller! It's overall smaller and has about 1" lower outlet for folks with limited space. We'll see how it holds up but I'm happy with the upgrade so far, plus I found a reo 600 in my sump I forgot about

That Mag 9.5 was 93 watts. The Triton has higher output, fewer watts. ;)

I'm glad you like it.

ah yes, I saw the 60 and thought it was watts, but that's hertz. Even better!
