In what order do RODI media expire? Sediment, carbon, RO membrane, DI? I am still producing 0 TDS after the DI, but 1 to 3 TDS prior to the DI stage. I am thinking of just replacing all stage media at once.

Thoughts?

Thank you!

If you keep the sediment filter and carbon filter clean, that will prolong the life of the membrane. The DI is after the membrane but it should change colour as it exhausts.

When the sediment filter starts looking muddy it's time to change it. I usually change the carbon filter at the same time as the sediment filter.

I wouldn't change any with those numbers that is about as good as it can get. The Di is there to catch the few tds that the membrane doesn't get

What is you tap water reading? Before DI your unit should be removing 95-98% so I your tap is 100 then it is working just fine. The DI will remove the remaining.

I am actually get zeros on both sides of the DI after the water runs for about 5 mins. It is just that I haven't replavced anything in close to 2 years. I make about 100 gallons of RODI water a month. I only have one 55 gallon tank.

Hmm... well a membrane can last 3 or 4 years if the source water isn't too bad and the prefilters are kept clean.

What does your sediment filter look like? What's the TDS of the untreated tap water?

It's just a good idea to know what your incoming water is so you can be more prepared to replace the filters sooner then normal.

Redundancy thats not need IMHO

TDS that is calibrated regularly on the outgoing will tell you when you need to replace whether thats sooner or 5 years later.

I own inline and HH TDS meters both read the same. My tap water consistently reads between 37 and 42 TDS. My TDS readings before and after the DI stage are 0. When i first start producing RODI water, I get a reading of 24 before the DI and 1 or 2 after the DI. I always run the unit until it reads 0 before and after the DI stage. I also think that pressurized water sitting in the unit between uses may harbor TDS until it is flushed out. Thank you!

Edit: It's darker that it was 18 months ago, but not bad.
