Return Pump for Red Sea Reefer 350

I am trying to decide what return pump to run on this tank since I have a BRS gift card burning a hole in my pocket. I'll need a minimum of 5x turnover which is 355gph at max head height. I think that'd be around 5ft? Not too sure. I like the reef octopus Varios line, but they're quite pricey. Do you all think the varios 2 would be sufficient to save a little coin from the varios 4? A lot of people seem to run the 4, but turned down a good bit.

Varios 2 would work for your setup, but if you can throw in the extra, why not get the 4 in case you ever upgrade tanks?

Do you have an Apex? If so, for about $15 more you can get a COR15. You would get a lot more flow than the Varios4 and have a lot more integrated control.

I went with the Varios 2 for almost the same application.

My choice was helped by others’ experiences & Josh @BRS statement that “the Varios line of pumps just work!”

I also like the low power consumption of that model pump, which is a bonus. It adds less heat to the system in summer.
