RK Elite programming help needed

Mike, good luck. Feel free to PM me if you are having trouble and I'll help if I can.

I'll add one more "tip" for those of you that travel a lot or are just prone to flooding your fish room like I am

I setup an alarm using a cheap ($10) watchdog water alarm which I picked up at homedepot.

I simply took apart the alarm and removed the sensor from the bottom of the alarm box. It has about 6' of wire so you can easily splice it to one of the open switches in the SL1.

I spliced the water sensor in to the switch and set an alarm for SWB to CLOSED and choose it to email, flash and alarm if tripped.

Then just put the sensor in any area that is likely to flood. I put mine near the sump and top off tank, two areas that I usually end up overfilling on water changes or when refilling the topoff.

That's it. It works great and I get a heads up when I am done something stupid and I can hopefully react before doing too much more damage.

I actually also use a water alarm by my mixing and RO station but that one is just set for audible alarm. That one saved my butt on atleast one occasion and I caught my mistake before things got out of control and had a huge mess on my hands.

Jeff, hope you don't mind me adding to your thread even if a bit off-topic

Uhggg! hahaha

I had to reset the Net Module (no big deal), been a while and couldn't find my notes for the User Name and Password. Plus when I would enter the Net ip address, it wouldn't bring it up in the Browser. Finally figured that part out.

While connected to my Network, I can enter my "no-ip" into the address bar and it will open to the Digital Aquatics software, I enter the default info and I can connect and see what is going on.

However, like before, when I try to connect say using my laptop connected to my Droid M by way of FoxFi app, and opening Dolphin Browser...I can get to the DA software login screen. However, when I enter the default user name and password, it won't take. It just asks for the User/Password again.

I have entered the "no-ip" URL, User Name, and Password into the app "myreef2.0" and it don't do squat but say it tries to load.

So, I'm basically back to square one! I can see it while on my Network, but that is useless as I'm standing in the house. Whole purpose was to see it while gone! hahaha

YES, finally. I had read some more. Found a post someone made on DA forum about "myreef2.0" Oscar said you have to be careful with the URL and must make sure you put http://no-ip">http://no-ip</a> blah blah blah
I still couldn't see anything, and I remembered reading the section in your directions Bob that mentioned you didn't see anything until you went in and turned RSS logging on and turned on what you wanted to monitor. Once I did all that, I could see "myreef2.0" and what I was monitoring on my Droid M.

So a HUGE HUGE big thanks for the extra tid bits. With your post, and going back and forth from Oscar's post, I was able to get this working finally. Man what a PITA! hahaha

I owe ya a beer one of these days!

Well, I haven't tested it with my her laptop turned off (don't believe it works unless have a pc running 24/7. I also haven't turned her pc off, and then back on to see if anything changes. I didn't download the DDNS like I did last time. Just the no-ip and their client (no-ip DUC)
So I will check this all out here shortly. I will update so Jeff can read along.

Have you been able to see graphs using the App? I'm logged in and can see my temp, pH, pc4 for lights. However, when I click on graph for pH, I get an error saying to "check user name and password.
I believe Oscar designed the App for Android. So I'm going to shoot him a message in a while.
Post up my findings.
