It does this every time I take water from my storage bin and then as the line tries to build pressure back up.

It will do this several times a minute though (roughly once every ten seconds) for over an hour every time.

Is this normal?

Your link isn't working for me.

Is it water hammer? Humming, or banging noise?

If so it's probably cause by air in the unit somewhere. Turn the unit on - either open the float valve or whatever you need to do to have water running through the unit. Pick up the RO and rock it/move it and have the output line elevated so if there is air in it, it will work its way up and out.

It's a very common issue (especially in residential drinking water units, and usually happens after a filter change, when air is introduced into the unit when the housings are opened up.)

This troubleshooting usually resolves it, but it may take a few tries to bleed all the air out.

Hope this helps.

Hey Jenn, thanks for the reply. I don't think its water hammer but I'm not sure. Im attaching a link that I hope will actually work.

The auto shutoff can make a humming noise, it's a cheap part to replace.
