I need to buy a new RO/DI system since I sold mine before moving to Florida. I can't find any information on whether or not Lake County Florida uses chloramine to treat their water. If they don't and I add the chloramine filter to the RO/DI will it hurt anything other than throwing more money away?

No Bud that's all you will lose.

As I recall-
Air, Water, Ice has a pretty good write up on chloramine & filters.

Thanks, Bill, that is what I was hoping the answer would be. I'll order one with the chloramine filter just to be safe.

According to their web site, you use the catalytic carbon (for chloramines) before any other type filter, except a sediment prefilter.

They sell it bulk, so you can use with a refillable canister and save some $$.

I would connect someone from the water authority and ask. I did that when I started researching RODI systems. Here is a link of people that you may want to connect
