I'm heading up 85 and 985 North tomorrow morning to pick up my father in North Carolina. Which LFS are on the way and worth a visit. They need to be right off the highway if at all possible.

Atlanta Aquarium is literally right off of 85 a few exits before the 85/985 split. I believe Nemo's new store is in that same general area.

Reefworks maybe in the area near South Carolina. I purchased from them [thru ARC website] and my next trip to NC will include a stop at ReefWorks. I highly recommend any purchase from ReefWorks. You will not be disappointed.

Just added Atlanta Aquarium to the GPS.

Avarium is a block from Atlanta Aquarium. You might catch Dylan working for a change. He only works there a couple days a week.

BioReef in Jacksonville, FL is the best place I've visited. I posted a message like you did here relating to your trip to N.C. when I was going to Florida last summer.

I would have never known about Bioreef. I posted a question here at ARC and a couple people told me about Bioreef. What was so cool about my trip to Bioreef, I received a 10% off discount for being a member of ARC. How cool is that?

Place Bioreef into your GPS if you are headed to Jacksonville. You WILL NOT be disappointed at Bioreef. Ask for a discount for being a member of ARC.

Oh the things I could say if I wasn't a mod. LOL

You could leave your house and visit almost all lfs. Optimum, creation reef, image ocean, pure reef, marine design, sea atlanta, atlanta aquarium, Aviarium nd then on the way home you could stop at nemo's

Not sure if I can put this on here (plz delete if I'm in the wrong)

Fishy Business in Columbia SC had a large selection of corals. Clean store and very knowledgeable staff.

Lol...monster clams. I agree with you that fishy business in sc is a great store but that's not the direction he's going I don't think. If any of you find your way up there ask for Chuck, he's a great guy and will take good care of you.

Reefworks is actually in the Augusta Ga area. Kinda out of the way for you on this trip. Well worth it to swing by if you are ever in the area though. Ryan really is a standup guy.

I'll be just west of Biltmore, I'll be in Canton, NC. Leaving niw and will be stopping by Nemo and Atlanta Aquarium on the way back. Thanks for the help.

LOL. My father used to live in Waynesville before moving over to Canton. This trip was just to pick him up and bring him down to our home for the holidays. We've been to his home many many times over the years. Funny that the Biltmore House is something we've never been able to see. I even have 2 free tickets that I received for Christmas several years back. One of these years we will make it!!!!

Sounds good! I'll be up there in the spring to hit a couple golf courses and have time to hit all the local shops downtown.
