I will be needing lots of rock in the near future. My question is if I buy live rock can I keep it alive by putting it in a tub, with a pump? And it would be put in a building that has no air-conditioner. Would this rock stay alive for several months? As I do my weekly water change I could change out some water.

Short answer is yes. Throw a small skimmer in it if possible though...

I've seen many LR bins in warehouses so based on that I would say yes. I have a 125 bin in the garage and it's full of pods, I bet it gets 90+ degrees in there too.
