Hey guys looking into a rodi unit only lfs that sold it stoped on me so i am lookin to buy one now wat is a good value i have a 125 gal tank but add a 30 gal tank to the mix cause i will end up letting my neighbor use it as well. So wats a good brand and size.

+1. Similar experience to Charlie's (though mine did get fixed a some point).

thanks for telling me that one oh wow hey why dont you look two places a local hydrolic shop (they can actually custom make most gaskets and if they cant custom make it they have a huge supply of diffrent seals at least my local one does hydrolics and more or check a good hardware store out somethin is bound to have a similar o ring.

oh ok yea like you told me before cheaper is not better in this hobby :) i am thinking about asking my neighbor to go in halves with one with me a good one.... I have until febuary to get one anyways the lfs is going to have it till then they have not stopped yet, but even if they do stop before i get one for a year i used tap water then found out the importance of ro water and switched to it.

I'm really happy with my filterguys Ocean wave +1 RO/DI. Plug and play basically. It has been serving me well. I got the $199 kit on this page with the pressure gauge, membrane flush, and dual tds kit. It's real nice.

I tried to save some money and thought I could fix a few small leaks but its a STREAM coming out of the unit that isnt going to be fixed since its freaking missing parts.

I would suggest Air Water Ice. They are a sponsor.
:lol2:

I was gonna post:

"get one like Dawgdude got"

Seriously, though... I've got one from http://shop.ebay.com/filterdirect/m.html?_nkw=&_armrs=1&_from=&_ipg=&_trksid=p4340">this ebay retailer</a> and it works great...

got mine from here: <span style="font-family: verdana,helvetica"><span style="font-size: 12px">http://www.filterdirect.com/">www.FILTERDIRECT.COM</a>
Just look for the aquarium units, they have an ebay store too where you can save a few $. The only issue with it was that I had to raise the house water pressure but it's been working great for almost 1 year. Got a second RO with tank for drinking and that's great too.

^^ that's the same company that I got mine from (only I posted the link to their ebay page)

my 100gpd unit put about 25 gal in a roughneck container on thanksgiving day in about 7 hours or so...

Charlie,
I do have an extra PWC canister - and it has the o-ring, it's yours if you make it to the meeting... ;o)

No brainer..Air, Water & Ice.

They're a great sponsor with great products.

I like the general water which is a filters direct. I got a 100gpd rodi with a carbon filter for drinking water, a holding tank which I use for my top off device and a sink faucet free shipping for $150. Mine has been running for three years with zero problems. Now I am no Master RODI Technician like Dawgdude but my unit is of sufficient quality for me.
