So I'm getting so RTN on my pink millipora and my tricolor validia.....

And help?

Temp 79.5-81.8
trates 5-10
trites 0
phos 0
calc 460
dKH 10-12
pH 8.2-8.3
I don't have a Mag test so I don't know what that's at...

I'm also running Seachem Seagel and Seachem Matrix

I havent seen anything attacking them at all...both are in mod-high flow areas....within 6 inches of water surface with lighting 4 inches above surface....2 12k sun lights and 2 460nm blue actinics....

An I'm in the process of adding a 20k 150w halide pendant

The trates in in between 5-10.....and phosphates are untraceable.....I don't know of anyone that had absolutely no nitrates in their tanks....

what test kits are you using? you need to have a phosphate kit like DD Merck, Hach or colormeter to detect low ranges of phates.

My phosphates are <0.028
my trates are <0.5

yeah im waiting on getting a salifert kit for the Mag.....wouldnt think it wouldnt think it would be too low with my calc and dKH being where they are....but ill get it taken care of as soon as i can test for mag......i kinda assumed that might be the culprit....

The other day my alk was 9, calc 430, and mag 1100. It was just 1400+ a week or two ago. You might be surprised how low it actually is. If you need to borrow a mag kit for a day or two you can swing by my place and borrow one, I have a fresh elos that is only a month or two old.

On another note, if it is true RTN and going in a day or two you may want to get to fragging to save what you can.

hit me on Pm with your number....ill give you a call tomorrow....and yeah i may have to start fragging them......just dont really want to so much considering they are fairly good sized colonies.....maybe 4-6 inches each........id really appreciate borrowing the kit for a day or so just to chk my mag....considering that may be the only thing outta wack....since all else seems to be in order...ugh.....
