Salifert Magnesium test kit question

Hoping someone also uses this testkit and can verify I am using it correctly.

I typically need to add the entire syringe of Mg-3 regent (1.0 ml) before I can get the test vial to turn color - and if I am reading the syringe correctly that gives me 0.00 which is equal to 1500 ppm Magnesium

My fear is that I am reading it backwards, and my Mag is zero!

Thank you, I was pretty certain I had it right - but wanted to verify. Frankly the test kits give me headache, and I find it odd that my magnesium never seems to move below 1500 despite no additives. Thanks again for the response (and the endorsement); Danny
