good morning everyone,
i get up this morning and some of my corals and live rock are covered in sand, with no idea how this happens. it has happened 3 or 4 times. i have a striped damsel, yellowtail damsel, 3 spot damsel, yellow damsel, purple tang, sand shifting starfish, and a red leg hermit crab. any ideas on who the culprit is on this matter? thanks mike:o

I am thinking the yellow damsel....he is the biggiest almost 2.5 inches.....why do they so this? thanks

Females prepare a potential egg-laying spot. Clowns do it too.

if this bothers you stay away from the watchman goby also. i swear his sole purpose in life is to bury zoas

That and any other corals you place on the sandbed. Heck mind would bury fish if the stopped swimming long enough. But he does keep the sand clean.

No freaking doubt. Add in a pistol shrimp and it's full on bull dozing time.

So if I move all my zoas to the sand, buy a diamond goby I can have a second tank????? I like this idea. :-)

Looks like this is the only answer!
