Scratched Glass

I was wondering if anyone has any expierence with getting scratches out of the inside of a glass tank.

I feel like if I drain it past the few scratches I have and take a dremel to it with a polishing wheel and the right compound I could polish them out. Anyone know of a product that could handle this?

If it is glass...see above. If it is plexiglass a buffing wheel can distort the image
