is there a really good way to remove scratches from my arcylic tank?

You can buff them out. I have never done it, but I know people that have successfully.

I bought a scratched up 210g and was able to get rid of the scratches. Look up a product called Novus, the kit will come with 3 solutions of different grits. Depending on how bad/deep the scratches are you can start off with a bit of sandpaper than use the novus kit. I did a bit of it by hand, then a neighbour of mine suggested using a car buffer which worked well.

what about scratches on the outside of the tank? Mine is a biocube 29 so it is glass. Is there any good polymer or something that I could fill it in with?

i've never heard of fixing scratched glass either.. how do you scratch the outside of a glass tank? I get the inside with sand and a mag cleaner.. but the outside, that would be tough

Have any of you ever had a crack in your car's windshield and you called out one of those mobile repair people to fill/inject the crack with silicone, and the crack is almost invisible?

What ever that process is, I bet it could be modified to remove deep scratches in glass fishtanks.

There is a process that can remove minor scratches from glass. To do so without distortion requires that an extremely large area be done. In anything but a large show tank that's dismantling would justify the time and cost IO it is not worth it. not sure about the resin used in windshield repair.

that resin crack repair isn't invisible. You can still see where the crack used to be, you just have to look closely. At a few angles you won't be able to see it, but for the most part, if you look closely you can. It also wouldn't work on a scratch, the resin wouldn't set.

It is possible to fix light scratches on glass but is recommended to be done having the tank empty. Deep scratches you are basically stuck with. By the way those deep ones can still spread out longer and eventually end up cracking the whole thing like a car windshield. I don't trust those fill in crap on a windshield.

I DON"T KNOW AND I HATE IT :censored: lol. well they are not bad scratches, only like less then a inch long and not deep at all. You cant even see them unless you look for them, but ya I think I got them when putting the tank up. Might of scratched on my pant's button or zipper.

I personally have used the aquarium kit listed above.... Works great
