seachem alkalinity test

If it's the same as my Seachem kit, you divide the number of drops by 2 to get your number. So in your case, your alkalinity is 1.5 meq/L. You want it to be in the 4 to 6 meq/L range.

are you testing the alkelinity that comes in the magnesium kit or in the ph and alkelinity kit?

Yes, use the pipette with the thin tube on it. Count the drops til it changes from blue to yellow and divide by 2.

Jenn and Shane are correct. Add the reagent, using the thin tipped pipette, one drop at a time. Stir between drops to ensure that the reagent is completely distributed. Count the number of drops it takes for the sample to turn from blue to yellow. Divide this number by two to get your reading in meq/L.
