Sedating fish w clove oil

Anyone ever done that before?

I have a massive 9as in 75lbs+ rock in my sump that houses a niger trigger.
I have tried any and all methods to catch him without success - I need to move said rock (in which he hides/locks as soon as you move a finger).

I can separate that sump chamber from the system - any advice?
Where would I buy that clove oil?!

You can buy pure clove oil at any health store. I've got a bottle at my house for euthanasia.

4 drops per litre seems to be the suggested dose. 30 drops is lethal.

Liters oh no, the metric system rears it ugly head again hehe. I knew I should have paid attention during math class.

I've never used the clove oil before, sounds interesting. I have used this before...

great for transporting cold water species. However, I would be worried he might hole up in the rock during his nap no matter what you use. Does he sleep in the rock during the "night" cycle.

Yup,
he does - lightning fast - knows the traps, sees humans from hundred yards away and the rock has perfect cave dead center.
Recipe for desaster...
