Is there a coral that is colorful and encrusts but also that can tolerate a bit of shade? I have a rock that I can't really attach corals to because it is almost vertical and has a bit of an overhang. It gets some light but not a ton. I would like to have some color in that area. Any ideas on what I could put there?

I thought about mushrooms. I think it gets enough light for them but would rather something flatter like a monti if such thing exists..

I have some monti cap, just not really the look I wanted there.. don't want to shade the area under it any more than it is.. would love something like encrusting monti like sunset or superman..will they tolerate lower light?

I didn't know chalices could tolerate low light. Anyway, while beautiful I am looking for something that grows a little faster to encrust the rock, and right now chalice is a little bit out of my budget. I really like the look of Cyphastrea. I am hoping to find someone with some for sale locally.

I have the meteor shower, the Atlantis and the ??? its all green - the meteor shower grows like a weed - very nice. Pure Reef had a peice of one ive NEVER seen before - it was all white with the pink heads on it - BEAUTIFUL...Rit has some Meteor shower frags and i can frag my Atlantis - green with red heads, mine is about 1.5" x 3"+ if you are interested..

my chalice are slow growers, except my Hollywood Stunner (Jenn has great deals on these right now)

Yes, I would love a frag of the Atlantis. Please Pm me a price. Don't know how soon I will be getting up to the Atlanta area, but I'm sure we can arrange something.
