I'm shipping my led/t5 combo and was wondering if it's a better idea to ship with the bulbs removed than ship with the bulbs in the fixture. I'm guessing and banging around during shipment could break the bulbs and leave a large mess. Thoughts? Also, does anyone have 6 of the paper bulb sleeves that the bulbs come in? And maybe one of the shipping cylinders I could have? I'm willing to purchase them from you. I just threw mine out last month. :mad2:
Thanks, guys.

3/4 pvc makes great shipping tubes for t5 bulbs and is dirt cheap. Wrap in newspaper and slide in. 25 cent a foot maybe.

I have bulb sleeves and cylinder you can have.but you have to pick up at my house.but I would also buy the jbj ato.

When you make the claim against the carrier (UPS or FedEx) when they break them, don't call them lamps or bulbs.

Call them electronic components. ;)

They won't pay claims on bulbs but they will on other stuff.

I'd put them in cardboard sleeves, wrap them in bubble wrap, overbox with foam peanuts.

Box needs to have a burst strength of 275 lbs or greater.

I file claims where I work... often for UV lamps or quartz sleeves. I know all the tricks.

Glad to hear it. I've seen a lot of broken glass in the last couple of years ;)
