If you have one, what's the one fish in your aquarium that you spent the most money on, or what was supposed to be the fish that everyone liked the most and is supposed to be impressed by?

For me it's my purple tang, but of course people that come over are much more intrigued by my 15$ starfish >_>

I'm just like wow, 300$ fish or a little invert. I guess it would be different if somebody that knew about reefs looked at my tank :p

But anyway, what's your "show fish"?

My Kole Tang was to be my center piece (small tank). But when everyone is standing next to the tank the look out the floor to ceiling window at the Koi in my pond and oooohhhh and aaaawwwwweee over them. LOL They were about 30 cents a piece 6 years ago at Petsmart. LOL

I know what you mean... my Achilles tang is probably my favorite, but people always see the clowns and Regal tang. You know what follows that. I can't make myself type it.

I had a mated pair of yellow watchmen gobies. Not a very expensive or rare fish but the female I had was absolutley gorgeous to me. She had changed from the typical yellow color to a light grey with this vibrant blue spots and bottom fin. I lost her last year to some sort of crazy disease or parisite. To me she was my show fish, I still have the male and now the red fire shrimp is his girlfriend lol. I'll try and find a good pic of her

this was supposed to be my show fish but as i figured it would,it took a liking to my lps so it had to go.

mated pair of black ice clowns, but like the starfish my cleaner shrimp (of all things) gets the attention

29 blue chromis

Edit: huh sorry about that tried to put a pic up guess that didn't work

I bet that looks fantastic. :-) Back in my FW days, I always wanted to put nothing but a big school of Neon Tetras in my 45 and get them swimming the figure 8 pattern. Unfortunately, my wife wouldn't let me. {man, that sounds lame doesn't it}. LOL

I'm simple. My firefish school is my favorite.

How many in your school? And for how long?

What size tank? That is impressive. Chromis usually destroy each other.

I have two a flameback angel and a neon basslet. (darker color) The basslet was hiding in Rit's big frag tank. Not sure how long he was in there but he came out and home with me really quick once I saw him... Beautiful fish, was concerned he might be a bit agressive when I added him in with the angel but all in all worked out awesome...
