Simple question on sand color

Will the color of the sand affect anything ranging from ph to fish attitude? The sands i have in mind are Caribbean(light and white) vs Pacific(darker). I currently have a Caribbean sand, but kinda like the look of the darker Pacific.
Any ideas?

Also can the two be mixxed? I honestly dont know the difference between the two except for color.

Sand color will not effect anything (that I am aware of). You just want to know what the sand is made out of.. All sand is not created equal. But there are people, like Jin, who have black sand. Their tanks are just fine!
