I have a SRO 1000 ski,met withthebubble blaster pump on it. I have in about 6 to 7 inches of water. For some reason, it won't dry skim. Everyday I empty the collection cup because its full of water. I can't regulate the flow down any. Does anyone have this skimmer and if so, how deep do you haven't in the water?

It should have an included gate valve you use to dial in the amout of bubbles entering the chamber. If it doesn't you need to get one!

It did and I have it all the way open. I can't open it any farther.....

" he's already pulled over....... He can't pull over any farther"

Is the water in the cup clear or dark? Does it have the correct pump on it or is that an aftermarket pump?

It's clear. It's the pump that came with it from the store. Here's the link to it.

That's a nice pump. You might not be getting enough air. Try cleaning out the part on the pump where the hose attaches, the hose itself, and the silencer.

I'm going to pull it all apart tomorrow morning and inspect it for debris and obstructions. May have to raise the whole thing up and inch or two.

That would be the only other thing I could think of. Look online for what depth other people have theirs in. Also the area of your sump needs to have a constant water level or it might not work correctly. If all that doesn't help you might need to contact the manufacturer.

I have experienced this same problem and the issue for me was the skimmer was sitting in too much water. Just for arguments sake......see if you can raise the skimmer in the sump by an inch and then see what the results are. If that doesn't work you most likely are dealing with a faulty piece of equipment as others have already suggested other things to try.

I had the 1000SSS model and it liked 5.5 inches of water. Definitely try raising it up.

Pulled the pump apart and cleaned it, cleaned the air line and placed another layer of egg crate under the skimmer. Seems to be working fine now.

Another trick is getting the water exit from the skimmer to be RIGHT AT or slightly above the water line in the sump. If it's well below the waterline you can create more back pressure which creates a higher water level in the skimmer.
