What would be the best skimmer to have on a 120 gallon system? There are so many choices I am looking for some feedback to determine which would be the best one to put on my new system. Thanks

You'll get a million opinions all pointing in different directions.

What are you looking for in a skimmer? Do you have a budget (this one is huge)? Do you have space constraints? In sump or out? Answering these will help narrow down your options.

In sump under stand of 120. Budget pretty much open. From what I have been reading skimmer and lights are 2 things to not hold back on. I have a sunlight Supply Maristar HQI fixture for lighting now so i am set there.

Tight-ish budget: Octopus
Medium budget: Super Octo or MRC
Hip-hop star budget: Bubble King (just to say you have one).

Just my .02

I think it's the big ole fat ones that have multiple pumps, like 2-3 for making bubbles.

Yep. I keep seeing them called "SRO" in conversation. Super Reef Octopus.

Andy there are quite a few Octo's. There is the extremes with the sicce pumps, the Hurricone's with the askoll pump, the needwheel with the octo pump, the recirc with the octo pump, and the super reef octopus with the bubble blaster pumps. Now the Super reef octopus has a couple variations within it. Cylinder, Cone, External recirc, sump space saver where the pump is in the bottom.

Here is a link to all there skimmers
