Skimmer question

I'm looking at getting a nyos quantum 160 protein skimmer. My question is are they good skimmers, and do they have any issues? Thanks in advance

Good protein skimmer but a tad overpriced in my opinion for its load

I’ve used them a lot, for the money, they kinda suck. Overflows a lot. But they are pretty quiet. For a similar price one look into the Octopus Regal INT.

Not a fan of Nyos, used or not

+1 on Reef Octopus Regal INT, the 150 model would be ideal for a 120. The Varios DC pump is variable speed and ultra reliable.

They are a pain to restart if you unplug or lose power sometimes.

I don’t have experience with Nyos but I love my RO Regal. It works great, never requires adjusting, quiet, and pulls some nasty sludge.
