A skimmer without bubbles.....thoughts, ideas?

I had to replace the inside of the pump and its been a while since I've worked on this thing (I pulled it apart and ordered the piece I needed about 6-9 months ago). The first time I put it back together, the motor wasn't working. I pulled it apart and tinkered some more, and the motor started humming right along. I set the skimmer with the newly refurbished pump over in my sump, plugged in the pump and water started to rise up in the cylinder. After SEVERAL minutes, I noticed......no bubbles.

I'm NOT looking forward to pulling this thing out and dealing with it again. Any suggestions as to what might be wrong before I start tearing it apart again?

not exactly sure what the question is but its normal for skimmers to put out bubbles for up to a few weeks while they break in after theyve been cleaned..there are various methods to get around these bubbles going in your DT

I pulled the pump apart again and fixed the no bubbles issue. BUT.....ever since its been running, its running WET. I've never had this issue before, I could set it up, let it run for a day or two and then it would self adjust and start running dry foam.

Thoughts, ideas?
