slime in ato reservoir

Ypu could clean it with a good vinegar wipe down if ypunhavent tried that. Also if you have any light spillage getting in there that may invoke the slime perhaps? This is assuming your rodi filters aren't allowing anything to pass through...hence getting in the container and causing it.

I always assume it was just a bacterial film. Once a year (ok, every two years, you caught me) I'd use up all of the RODI water and clean the reservoir with a bleach/water mix. Throw in some water, add some bleach, mix it around however I possibly could and rinse. Air dry completely, rinse with RODI, air dry completely again and you're back in business!

This is why I have switched to direct feed lined, no reservoir. Going this rout requires some redundancy. I have my controller set to only run for a max of 4 minutes to avoid any overflow, salinity issues.

If triggered it sends me a notice and the leak detector sites it down till I intervene if it gets triggered. Never had any issues going this route going on 5+ years.
