While doing some maintenance on the 30 gallon this morning, I found these snail eggs. I know they're snail eggs because the snail is on another part of the glass, laying more eggs. I'm thinking its a Nassarius.

What are the chances that these eggs will hatch? They're a little unsightly but I could use more snails. I would also not like to duplicate "the Great Freshwater Pond Snail Takeover" of 2013/2014.

Yes they look like cerith eggs and yes they will hatch, survival may or may not happen.

Likely cerith and some might survive. I doubt you'll be overrun but if your supply replenishes itself to some extent, that's a good thing.

The rest become 'caviar' for your other critters.
