My snowflake eel has gone under all my rubble in the overhead and won't come out. Any ideas on how to lure him out without taking out all the rubble?

In the 'overhead'? Not sure I understand. In the overflow maybe?

Usually the easiest way to trap an eel is to put a length of PVC in the tank. When it goes into the pipe to hide, place a net on either end of the pipe and lift the whole thing out. Be sure to have a bucket or whatnot, available and ready - and have a lid too - because it can and will exit the bucket quickly as it will be agitated.

If it's in the overflow - not sure about that but you'll want to be careful it doesn't jump out of there and onto the floor.

Ah... small tank for an eel - he'll probably end up there more than once, and he likely won't be able to get out on his own.

he just got out luckily, this is the second time hes gotten in and out. hes very small at the moment but i know i will have to give him up eventually. i just figured id keep him for a year or two and then sell him.

look at mediabasket.com

they make a fish guard to keep animals from ending up over the back of a BC. I have one on my 14, and haven't had anyone end up back there since I installed it.
