so whats your fav wrasse

:-(

no, it's NOT... but that doesn't take away from it being my favorite wrasse...

(and thank you for pointing that out... I didn't read the intent of a reef safe wrasse)

i'd have to go with the 3" green wrasse at Marine Design's reef display tank, then.. :D

beautiful fish hackman. i keep going back to kzoo's fav. at first it looked ok. im starting to really like it. the colors are kinda related, but different enough where evry color stands out.
nice one indeed kzoo. what kind is it?

So true, I had a Mandarin Goby jump before

Leopard wrasses have to be my favorite looking wrasses. They can be tough to acclimate to tank life, however. http://images.google.com/images?hl=en&source=hp&q=leopard+wrasse&um=1&ie=UTF-8&ei=FuHmSp-IHYrR8Qbwy-maBw&sa=X&oi=image_result_group&ct=title&resnum=4&ved=0CBwQsAQwAw">http://images.google.com/images?hl=en&source=hp&q=leopard+wrasse&um=1&ie=UTF-8&ei=FuHmSp-IHYrR8Qbwy-maBw&sa=X&oi=image_result_group&ct=title&resnum=4&ved=0CBwQsAQwAw</a>

I never have a tank without a 6-line wrasse. They have such great color when they get bigger and are always so active and their eyes are awesome.

I love wrasse just a great addition to any tank. I have to have one hands down. I have had two jump out. With a top too. I am now sporting the "Acroholic" clear speacial mesh top. Very proud. Nothin beats a wrasse! I would love to have a wrasse only tank!

hell I cant remember the name or find a pic but it resembles a lineatus but its blue and yellow and about $700.

WANT

Any fish can jump. I've even had a 10" long-horned cowfish jump... how he got the velocity in a 75g tank to do it, I'll never know.

Having said that, my fave wrasse is the Solarensis Fairy Wrasse:

Not my photo - borrowed image.

It gets a bit large for a 30-ish tank though.

Sixline is a good choice. Some get a bit bossy but most don't.

Jenn

Lunare wrasse, or as some know it, lunatic wrasse...by far one of the most interesting fish to watch.

I have a six line in my 34, along with a pair of clowns. Six-lines do have a lot of character, but also can be a little tyrant.

i dont know what kind he is, forgot, but hes very cool indeed.

i think thats it. you havent been to jenn? oh man you should go. good times. kirsten and i can ever get out of there on time.
jenns cool and we end up talking about all kinds of stuff, and not just reefing. you'll meet several off here while your there too.
i'll get in the corner of the tank and move my head from front to side. he follows. lol. he gets these expressions. very cool fish.
jenn will have to sell him with visitation rights when it comes time.
im not ready for him or he would be here already.

I do love my African Cleaner Wrasse. His blue color adds a lot to the tank. 2nd choice...all of them...love wrasses very much.
