I picked up a Solana last week! Theres not really much to build as far as the aquarium its self, the solana has the sump built in, But here we go!

Here is a list of the components I plan to use.

-Stock Solana return pump and skimmer
-Single LED fixture "Member Modded"
-Custom Closed loop to provide Adequate flow without any powerheads

Here are my plans for the closed loop. Your input is appreciated.

-custom closed loop located in the center chamber of the Solana's overflow/sump area. The center chamber houses filter media, carbon etc. I plan to install a 3/4" bulkhead for the intake, and use pvc, lock line, to create a split return. I will use a Mag 5 or similar submersible return pump, with a small ball valve to retard flow if necessary.

Got the new Tile installed today thanks to my main man Jimmy! He's coming back to grout everything tomorrow while we're at the Meeting! Then I can move the Solana in!!

I have the Solana and all the components soaking in vinegar! It'll be clean and ready to set up tomorrow! FYI a friend of mine is housing all of my livestock until I'm ready to stock my Solana!

I just set my Solana up and I must say it is a great little tank, you will surely enjoy yours! I used an MP10 ES for flow instead of a closed loop and it seems to work well so far. Good luck with the setup.

Sweet! I considered a mp-10 but I'm upgrading to a 150 cube soon and it would be a bit small for a 150!

The room is back together and the tank is in place and perfectly level dry. I expect that to change, so I'm prepared to level it out after filling it up!

The closed loop is coming along nicely! The only thing left to do is install the return bulkhead and lock line fittings. Then I can test it out! I went with a maxi jet 1200 for now bc I had one laying around, but I designed the closed loop to work with a mag pump or similar.
Here's the intake bulkhead.
