solana question and metal question

hey guys! had two quick questions.

i went and bought a different flow control for my return pump. i looked inside and the knob as well as the piece doing the 'blocking' is plastic. there is one screw though. is this going to cause me problems??



also, do any of you take preparations on your solana to make sure your tank doesn't overflow when you're not at home? if so, what did you do?

Why would your tank overflow? Especially an all-in-one?

i guess it technically couldn't. i just get worried about the overflow clogging for some reason. the water got really high in the front once cause the mag was pushing water in so fast.
