I did eggcrate with plastic window screen zip tied, or you can 'tack' it with silicon glue.

I know the don't have time thing for DIY projects and I'm retired. I graduated DeVry in 1975 when it was DeVry institute of Technology not university but they actually thought they could teach me something even back then. LOL As far as open top, my tank is open top with light fxture hanging over tank about 3" above surface. You can't really see my cover and it's clear (pretty much salt covered). Does the job though and really doesn't look home made. I thought about making them and selling on eBay but like you said I don't have time for all my DIY projects let alone any body else 's.

I've been shipping the mesh I have been selling in Prepaid Priority Mail envelopes ($4.95), which is why I commented on his shipping profit.

good idea on the clip boards. what dremel bit are you using to cut acrylic?

Well apparently my overflow cover was shipped to the wrong address, as USPS says "delivered" with a date of yesterday, but my overflow is still open...

I e-mailed him to tell him, so depending on how this is handled it will have a big influence on my feedback. I get the feeling he's going to say SOL and I'll be left filing a claim with eBay/PayPal, but I guess we'll see. I e-mailed this morning around 9am and did not hear back all day, but he shipped same day I paid last week...

Well because I chose not to purchase insurance for $3 (on top of $10 shipping) for a $10 item, he said he is not going to replace it.

The thing is, the post office is the one who screwed up, the delivery confirmation says it was delivered to my address, so I can't really blame him too much as I'd probably take the same stance. I'm hoping one of my neighbors got it and will give it to me, but everyone is home for the break so I'll have to wait til this weekend to see if someone has it.

I guess my only action is to file a claim and report his outrageous shipping charges to eBay.

One of my neighbors brought my package over today. It was a perfect fit and nice finish, not solid black, but a little smoke, with cutouts to allow locline on both sides if needed. Pics coming soon!
