Ok so I finally decided to spend $200 tops on a brand new skimmer. I am cheap and I have to justify my expenses so that's a splurge for me (believe me, it aches to the very core of my cheapness). I was thinking of getting a Reef Octopus but there is so many options that I'm overwhelmed. My tank is 65gal and I bought it established, it has a sump that I'm terrified it may flood if power fails (HOB overflow) but that's off topic. So please tell me which Skimmer would be the best bang for my buck.

I have a brand new Reef Octopus Needlewheel 110 on my shelf - works for your size tank. We have several in service on tanks up to 120 gallons and they kick butt and take names. :)

We can help you with your fear of flooding too - if it's set up properly (sump), it won't flood.

Open Sunday 1-5.

Thanks Jenn, I wish you were closer but I'm all the way down close to 285 and 141. It seems that all the interesting members are up north lol

It's about an hour depending on traffic. My daughter co-ops in Norcross, not far from there. Mileage-wise it's not that far but there isn't a traffic-easy way to get here.
