I have a small saltwater tank that I'd like to play around with some macro algae in -- just learning about planted saltwater tanks. I can always nuke it if things get out of hand :)

What do the local LFS sell other than chaeto? Do you know of any other sources for macro algae?

I once saw a macro algae display tank that was pretty incredible. One of the coolest tanks I have ever seen.

Ipsf.com . They have all kinds. I've ordered from them before. If there is such a thing as high quality algae then they got it lol!

I like it just fine, doesn't fall apart like chaeto. grows faster in the frag tank, slower in my main tank. it will also attach itself to rock work which is kinda neat!

Anybody want to split an IPSF Mix 'N Match Special with me? It's just $10 more than one of their Hawaiian MacroAlgae 6-packs when you add in shipping, and you get a lot more. I'll go half with somebody.

I have always enjoyed the look of "planted" types of tanks. Justin McGuinness is the owner of Aquarium Outfitters in Athens and has ordered some in because I asked for it. (he is really good about doing that for folks). Currently he has red and green Graciella, cheato and some kind of green tufted stuff. Check the website at aquarium-outfitters.com. They are located in Athens. He does not, however support the reef club with discounts and it is not a sponsor. (Don't ask):confused2:
