I need help again with this fish. I looks liks someone took a drill bit and drilled a small hole behind her head. Pic on the way. the first thing I noticed was kinda a white spiderweb looking spot now its turned into this.

Edit: I thought I saw like two little yellow dots in it earlier but they dont seem to be there yet, can it be hole in head syndrome? I'm leaning towards some sort of parasite.

Edit: She has stopped spawning but still eats, she seems to ok, but seems to be breathing a little harder than normal and again is sort of reclusive

Maybe it is a toomah...

It's not "hole-in-the-head" even though it's a hole in her head.

I have no idea what it is though, that's one of the most ponderous things I've ever seen.

I've been trying to catch her all day to give her a FW dip, as I watched her I saw the blood red shrimp digging in the hole. There has to be something in there and the shrimp knows it. I just hope I can catch her and get my hands on some formalin soon.

I got her in a FW dip for about 3 mins, I think she died in ther but I picked her up and moved her back and forth and then dropped her back in the DT, she swam away and hid. Her mate is so worried about her he keeps nudging her to make sure she is ok. I can get my hand on her and when I touch her she will respond. Some stuff fell off of her in the dip. I really hope it buys me some more time.

about 2 45 I found her stuck to the PH, I pulled her off and drug her backwards, she woke up again. Its 3 45 now I have her in a bowl, I dont know if she keeps dying and then coming back but every few minutes she will wake up and swim for just a second. After that I swear she is dead. Dont know what to do. In a world of rainbows and lollipops she will be fine in a few mins. I think I may have to put her in the freezer

I know bro, She ended up finally going. Admirable the heart she had to keep fighting like that. I swear she died at least 15 times

Edit: Man I never knew I would be this sad over a fish, especially when our fishes heads are fallin off.

Maybe someone will get that.

Did you open her up to take a look? I'd be curious to see what was in there, if that's possible.

I opend the cyst looking thing, it seemed it was just a cyst, the hole it was too late last night I may do it today.

Edit: The reason I went ahead and caught her for the dip was she was acting really funny, she basically swam in the net. She was running into things all trypes of wierd stuff. I just think it was too late.

yeah I took a shower after handleing her last night I plan on wearing gloves when I do the autopsy.
