Well im new to sps....... completely!

I did get multiple frags from a friends tank that basically crashed. Im going to try to post pictures later, but on has polyp extension but that tips are bleaching. The other two are basically white. The tank they were in had MH's but i dont know if it was 10 watts per gallon. Is the bleached tips a sign of growth or to much light?

White tips could be new growth and bleaching. More likely new growth, but pics will help out to determine.....
How many watt halides? Old tank? New tank?
Height of the light above the tank?

I would move the corals to the bottom of the tank and slowly move them up, or raise the fixture and slowly move it down to mitigate and chance of more bleaching if that is what's going on.

500 watt halides. tank is 3 years old. corals are at top of tank but halides are only running 4 hours a day right now. Im going to post pictures.

that looks like growth to me from all my experiences with sps. if it starts to move down to the full piece then i would get worried, right now i wouldnt sweat it
