So one of my sps on a rock was stripped (what it looked like it was peeling off) of its color (blue) and is now all white. What does that mean. Is it dead what killed it and what do I do now?

LOTS of variables in a "micro-ecosytem" that can cause this to happen.
Whats your water params look like?
If you post that info I'm sure some of the more experienced members would be able to diagnose your problem.

Sounds like it is either bleached or dead. Pics would go a long way in getting some help. Trying to diagnose an issue like this without pictures is like trying to give someone a haircut over the phone.

what do I do just leave it?

Looks like it is staying no matter what, as it is encrusted looking. If the skeleton stays white then it is bleached but alive. If the coral gets algae growing on it soon after it turned white, then it is dead and algae are eating the dead tissue.

A bleached coral can recover, but you may want to monitor the water alkalinity, calcium and magnesium levels. A listing of your type of equipment and your lighting would be helpful. Sometimes folk's equipment won't support SPS in their tanks.

I think at this point your best option is to get a good set of test kits, find out which parameter (OR parameter swing more importantly) is contributing. After u correct that swing or parameter try CoralRX dipping it to stop any algae growth/STN/RTN and hopefully it can be saved.

It is a 28 gallon Jbj led intermediate. Not sure of levels but every time I brought it to the store they said it was fine. Day wattage is 25x1w moon is 4x.05w.

All sps have light preferences; maybe the piece you have needs more than that? To be honest over my 75G I have almost 400watts and I still think it isn't enough for most corals.

Edit: ^ I take that back... most sps corals :P

IMO it isn't dead.. yet. I still see green at the top.. although sps can be tricky you would be surprised how resilient they can be!

I doubt the lights are the issue, BUT if you're running LED .. you may have either cooked it... or like the above post said not had enough / correct spectrum of light.

There's no reason to try and remove it.. and don't give up on it yet.

<p style="text-align:left">it still looks like there is polops on it give it timee like dave sed it may come back if not just
a new coral on top of it
1w led fixtures are brutally intense eccoray 60 fixtures still have the highest par of eny fixture they are abel to put 300-500 par at 30" and will grow sps down to 4ft e like dave sed it may come back if not just
