Stand and canopy colors

For me, it would really depend on the species of wood. But, cherry has always been a fav of mine. Curly Maple would be second.

So natural?

I like like a darker wood stain such as minwax red mahogany or dark walnut, if I had the right space for it I've always wanted a solid colored stand/canopy like a grey or a white.

For sheen I prefer a satin, almost exclusively. Not a big fan of super shiny or flat.

Yup. Let the beauty of the wood show through. :-).

I voted stain medium, But I really like a dark espresso finish as well. If it was between white or black I choose white.

I think that 116 you have needs a stand made out of cocobolo. Clear lacquer finish. Thoughts?

I think a Texan should be able to get it fairly easy and cheaply.
